Christmas Afternoon at my dad's house

Sterling and I went up to our dad's house at about 12:00 on Christmas afternoon. It was so much fun to go up there to see everyone. My grandparents and my Aunt Kelly and her little boy Talon were up there and it is always fun to see them. The most eventful thing that day was Talon's haircut. He HATES getting his haircut but he finally agreed to let me do it. He had quite the shag going because he refuses to get it cut. But I eventually got it cut way cute and short with a little bit of a faux hawk! It was so good to see that side of my family because I don't get to see them a whole lot, but it is always so much fun when I do! :)

Christmas Morning

Well let's just start with Christmas Eve. We got kind of a late start this year and didn't open our pajamas and read our story until about 9:30. Then Sterling wanted to go sledding instead of watching A Christmas Story like usual. We deliberated for a while and then decided to go. But let me just say this sledding was not normal sledding. We went to skyline parking lot and got pulled behind the truck on a sled! Sterling's friend Carlton came with us, and no matter how redneck it seems it actually was a lot of fun! I had a great Christmas this year! It was so much fun to be with my family and we were all very happy that Grandma was here to spend it with us! My mom had to wake Sterling and I up at about 9:45 because she didn't want us to leave for my dad's house too late. We all woke up and did presents and then ate breakfast together. Our family got a wii this year and we all had a blast playing it together! It was especially fun when our extended family came over Christmas night to play! There was never a dull moment with all of us battling to be the best mario cart racer! Haha

My Work Christmas Breakfast

On Christmas Eve morning we had breakfast and a gift exchange with everyone at my work. It was so much fun to see everyone one last time. The gift exchange was so much fun and got pretty intense at times. It was no question that the Marshall getting the lingerie was by far the best part! Thanks to Tahna for bringing it! :) I ended up with a picture frame with cute quotes on it and a blanket. Courtney and I had been coming with plans the whole time for her to get the quesadilla maker, but it somehow didn't work out. Sorry Courtney! Haha I will miss everyone at work so much! I had a lot of fun with them!

The Whole Fam! (Well my dad's side anyway...)

It is fairly rare that me, all of my brothers and my dad and step mom are together. So I was so excited when we all got the chance to be on my dad's birthday! It is so crazy to me that my "little" brother Jordan is a good 5 inches taller than me and Taylor is catching up quick! I love my family and especially my brothers so much! They are the best!!!!

Thriller/ Halloween

The weekend before Halloween my mom and I went down to St. George to go to Thriller with my grandma and Kirstin. We all had a ton of fun. It is a way cool show, if you haven't gotten you should definitely check it out next year! And then Halloween weekend was also an adventure too! The night before Halloween my work did trunk or treating for the kids at The Christmas Box house. My mom came along for the ride and I also took Sawyer, Maggie, and Ellie. It was so much fun for everyone! My mom and I dressed up as The Incredibles and we had a lot of fun doing it! :)

Ellie's Birthday and The Primary Program

Ellie's birthday was October 22 and she turned 3. She had a blast at her birthday party! If you ask her she will say, "I used to be little but I just grew up so fast!" Haha. Luckily, she really is still little! :) Then the Sunday after her party was the kids primary program. I went to see them in it and they all did awesome! Maggie sang with a few other girls, Sawyer talked about missionaries and Zac which made me cry! He looks up to him so much. And last but not least Ellie sang I Am a Child of God all by herself! Nobody could believe how well she did! It was so much fun to go and see them all! I obviously couldn't take pictures during the program but I got a few pictures of them in their church clothes afterwards!

Hike to the waterfall

A few weeks ago I was babysitting and Sawyer and Maggie said they wanted to do one more fun thing before school started. So I thought for a little bit about what we could do and then it clicked... We could go on a hike and have a picnic. We went and hiked the waterfall just off of Wasatch Blvd. You park at the bottom of a neighborhood and you have to first walk up through the neighborhood to get to the trail head and we saw 2 deer in the neighborhood on the way there. They made me nervous but I managed to keep my cool until one of them started following us up the trail. Maggie was getting mad at me and told me I was going too fast but that deer freaked me out so I wanted to get away from it as soon as possible. Luckily Sawyer is brave and told me to relax. Haha! Everyone walked the whole way without one complaint, even Ellie! I was surprised because it's kind of a steep hike for her little legs but she did it all with a smile. Maggie wore her swimsuit because she wanted to play in the water but with just one toe in the water she realized it was not going to happen. Sawyer and Maggie climbed up the rocks to get a closer look at the waterfall. A good time was had by all and it was a great way to end the summer together!

Spend the night with Emmy

Last weekend my cousin Emmy came and had a spend the night. She is adorable and my family is always more than happy to have her come over. She is 4 months old and is getting cuter everyday. I think that we would keep her and not give her back if we had the choice!

Jack Johson with Ely

A few weekends ago Ely and I went to Jack Johnson to do one last thing together before he left on his mission. We had a ton of fun and of course couldn't resist taking a few goofy pictures while we were there. Ely left September 3 to serve in the Charleston West Virgina mission. He is having a blast and doing great! I miss him a ton but I am so happy that he made the decision to go!

Wasatch 100

Last weekend my best friend Kirstin's dad Jon ran the Wasatch 100 for the 10th time (If you aren't very quick that is 1000 miles). Her mom Mary, Kirstin and I were there the whole way to support him. Every so often there are check points that they stop at to grab something to eat and change clothes or shoes and then they are back on the way. Jon did great and finished in about 26 hours. They had a big celebration for him and he got a ring because not many people can do this even once, let alone 10 times! It was a lot of fun and Kirstin and I had a great time being together all weekend!
